Beginning: the point in time or space at which something starts.  Hey guys! This a new thing for me.  This blog is called the beginning because as the definition states its when something starts.  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1.  That also was the start of something.  Our existence.  God created us to worship and serve Him. He gave us everything we could ever imagine or need but yet we fell to temptation and entered a world full of sin and death.  All through that God still loves us as his children.  We fell short.  He gives us our own free will. We are able to make our own decisions in life; my personal belief is that makes Him a very wonderful God. What other powerful leader can you think of that allowed their followers to decide everything for themselves.  He trusts us to make our own decisions but He also wants us to live for Him.  Living for God is so much more than going to church regularly and cracking the bible open those two days of the week.  (Don't get me wrong I have been guilty of this myself).  A solid walk with God is when you consult Him in prayer everyday, read His word daily, make decisions based off what is right and not based off selfish desires.  I'm a sinner. I am guilty of not being in His word daily and not praying regularly because my life is so "busy" and "hectic" that I have no time. That's a lie I've told myself many times before.  All these things being said though, it's 2016. It's a new year filled with new "beginnings".  Many make a resolution but this year I don't want to do the same thing.  I want to make a commitment with God.  I want to dig into His word and pray more and even volunteer or anything else that would help me to stay in my walk with Christ.  This is more than a resolution that will fall short. This is the beginning of eternity.
